At this free event, Artist Palooza will feature art and a performance, as well as a mixer open to all musicians.

2.25 Hammer SanfordBiggersTonight, at the Hammer Museum, ejoy a free screening of Moon Medicine.  This optical experiment is produced by interdisciplinary artist Sanford Biggers. His live work, by turns troubling and inspiring, weaves found images of punk, funk, film noir, sci-fi, traditional Samoan dance, and Buddhism with original video content and improvised turntableism and veejaying. The result is an evocative concert that is as much jam session as it is a performative film screening.

There will be a variety of food and dessert trucks to choose from – all contributing as a fundraiser for programs serving students who attend Olympic High School, the Independent Study Program, the Off Campus Learning Center, and the Adult Education Center.

Come out in support of the alternative education programs of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District!

Vidiots offers a special night of “Tale Spin” which is a monthly gathering of people telling true stories. Share your personal experiences, be sure to get there for sign up at 7:00 pm. The theme tonight, is “Money.”  So come, snack, drink, and meet interesting people. The first story begins at 7:30pm sharp. Seating is limited to 35. RSVP to Patty Meyer: pkmeyer@verizon.net.

Bring a bottle of wine or preferred beverage and/or an appetizer of any kind to share. The stories are free. “Tale Spin” runs from 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Be aware that is does cost $10 at the door, but it is going to help Vidiots, our local visual storytelling vendors, stay in business! Rent some videos while you’re there.
