Filmed live on stage in Tokyo, one of Japan’s leading theatrical troupes, GEKIDAN SHINKANSEN brings a new live-theatre style of film screening to moviegoers, as their popular stage performance becomes a cinema experience.
Synopsis: Eight years after the fall of Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi is attempting to unify the whole of Japan. He is opposed by Tenmaō, the mysterious masked resident of Skull Castle (Dokurojō). A wandering stranger named Sutenosuke rescues the girl Sagiri from Tenmaō’s men leading them all to the ultimate showdown.

Get Lit Players, founded by Diane Luby Lane, is an award-winning classic and spoken word teen poetry troupe comprised of teenagers from throughout Los Angeles County.
Sonia Mercado and Sam Paz are activist civil rights attorneys with a long and successful history challenging police misconduct and supporting the constitutional rights of prisoners.

Actual Size Los Angeles and Academy Records are pleased to present Variety Show I, a night of short performances curated by Bryan Lee Brown and hosted by Bill Raden with acts by Richard Bott, Mike Armstrong, Jo Jo’s Spa II Hoop Girls and Jim Brown of Holloys.
The performers will occupy and activate HEAD(devices III), a temporary installation and performance venue. This will be one of two nights of mediated entertainment hosted at the space for the run of the exhibition.
