New works by Delicious Taste are woven of contemporary carriers of information: data, signal, current, codes and intelligence. Their artworks, which on the surface resemble works made of fiber, reflect the meaning in our current society based on computers. Reliving the days of playing NOKIA’s “Snake” the artists use phones as well as vintage SPACE AGE monitors and surveillance cameras as a contemporary nod to George Orwell’s iconic dystopian novel 1984. Delicious Taste invite viewers to haptically immerse themselves in the artworks by “reading” the knots with their hands through touch.
*a new collaboration between Bruce Yonemoto and Grant Levy-Doolittle

In Culver City…
Support Inner-City Arts hosts its annual fundraiser.
The nonprofit has invited many artists over the years to participate in The Artist Invitational. Each artist is in turn asked to invite another artist to exhibit with, whose work they feel deserves greater attention. From the generation of artists supported by Inner-City Arts, to the artists invited to join them for this exhibition, to the thousands of Los Angeles youth who are served by Inner-City Arts each year, The Artist Invitational is a celebration of the arts community.
Well known artists such as Charles Arnoldi, Billy Al Bengston, Woods Davy, Laddie John Dill, Guy Dill, Ed Moses, Gwynn Murrill, Ed Ruscha, Don Suggs and more will participate in this year’s event!
