It is the second day of LA Design Weekend (LADW), which continues through the weekend. The independently organized, citywide design fair will showcase studios, showrooms, exhibitions, workshops, group shows, parties, and iconic private residences across LA that help shape the city’s character. This year, LADW 2025 will expand into more neighborhoods, engage over 100 hosts, and welcome participants from across the country and around the world. The Los Angeles edition of The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art takes continues. The art fair is being held at Barker Hangar and runs through Sunday. It features over 150 artists. In commemoration of the artist’s 100th birthday, Louis Stern Fine Arts unveils Karl Benjamin: A Centennial Exhibition. This special exhibition features a selection of rare and early works from the 1950s. This was the decade that launched Benjamin’s (1925—2012) 45-year artistic career.

Geffen Playhouse presents a world premiere production of Am I Roxie?, written and performed by Roxana Ortega (The Casagrandes, The Groundlings). The play is directed by Bernardo Cubría (Crabs in a Bucket; The Giant Void In My Soul). In this funny one-woman tour-de-force based on her own life, writer/actor Roxana Ortega navigates the chaos of her mother’s mental decline with outrageous humor.
