Drawing from a fascination of symbolism and ritual, this experimental series of monoprints explores our physiological existence and its interaction with memory, alignment of time, and the sacred.

Also on view is a community exhibition in honor of artist, educator and curator Deborah Thomas who passed away in December 2012.

Presented by Avenue 50 Studio and the Southern California chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art (SCWCA), the exhibit offers large, lush abstract paintings from her days as a New York studio artist will hang alongside more current installations, writings and collaborative projects where she delved into photographs and text working with themes of family, found memory, landscape and the envionment.
