Topanga Canyon Gallery presents: “ELEMENTS of LIFE: New works by Fereshteh Fatemi, Debbi Green, and Karrie Ross.”Art representing Life asTopanga-Canyon-Gallery Logo the whole, and Elements as the parts. A belief. A journey. A fascination. Each artist shares their connection to their whole, through the arts of jewelry, painting, and mixed media.

Fereshteh Fatemi’s recent jewelry line is a result of her quest to combine her creative talents with her years of spiritual journey. She was particularly inspired by the four natural elements’ of Air/Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth. “In their most basic form, they are each necessary for sustenance of our physical being. https://www.ferangelika.com/

Debbi Green brings into play the elements of her own life. Inspired by the values that she aspires to daily, such as; integrity, compassion and love, she takes us on a journey of her everyday life. With a bit of humor she shows us that walking the dogs or dancing in the dark can be as important as having faith and hope. She uses landscapes and still life to represent some of these elements. Debbi, known for her colorful animal artwork, chooses to depict power animals from the medicine wheel.  http://www.debbigreen.com

11.2 KarrieRoss Under the Sea-BlueBirdsWalkingKarrie Ross, a native to Los Angeles, finds water fascinating so went exploring “Under the Sea” with watercolor, acrylic, ink, pencil, and oil. She came across The Blue Bird of happiness and began following their journey into life. Ross illustrates the elements found with the use of her favorite symbols; the line, dot, drip, spatter and drops, embellishing the movement through their space and time. Watch them walking, surfing, flying (duh), and just standing there, waiting for you to follow them too—the leaving of footprints in the sand, marking a moment in time, and the element of surprise when the waves wash them away under the sea, to begin again.

Ross follows the universal vibration that shows up when she ponders the wonders of the world. Nothing is so small that it’s energy cannot be felt. We all have what Ross considers a personal energy and her main inquiry is “What is your energy telling the world?” http://www.karrierossfineart.com
