The Word is ART, a unique new cooperative artisan gallery located at 9349 Venice Boulevard in downtown Culver City, is planning an exciting series of workshops and events for the month of August that will showcase the diverse group of artists who together make up The Word is ART.
Saturday, August 24 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm: Fund Raiser “A Place to Bark”
Do you love animals? The Word is ART holds a Fund Raiser for A Place to Bark takes place on Saturday Aug. 24. Word is Art Gallery will be opening its private patio for sales of quality home furnishings, furniture,some revamped by artists, clothing, and of course, ART. 25% of the proceeds will be donated to A Place to Bark.

lace To Bark Animal Rescue is a no kill and adoption rescue dedicated to the welfare of animals, founded by Bernie Berlin in 2001.They rescue animals from high kill shelters and foster them until they are healthy, placing them for adoption through Humane Societies in various parts of the country.
There will be great Stuff for SALE the patio at Word is Art from 9am-6pm on Saturday, August 24th.
For sale will be quality house hold items, furniture, artistically revamped furniture, quality knick knacks, gently used high end fashionable clothes, handmade items jewelry and art supplies and ART in the gallery. There will also be a silent auction of one of kind art.
Proceeds of 25% of sales will go to A Place to BARK. Come help our kindred spirits.

day, August 25 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm: Watercolor Essentials 3 Workshop
Here Pamela Harnois will help you create beautiful watercolor paintings through the techniques of watercolor. You will learn:
• Create exciting watercolor artwork
• Develop new techniques for building your paintings
• Have fun making your own greeting cards out of your watercolors
Additional supplies will be available to make cards out of the paintings you create.
Every Tuesday starting August 13 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm: “Tea and Artistry” OPEN STUDIO
Paint, Sip and Create you own masterpiece! Whether you are an experienced artist or a novice, our Art on the Patio OPEN STUDIO series will delight and enlighten you. Enjoy fresh brewed iced tea while you paint your very own masterpiece. Featured art instructor will be Pamela Harnois.
Word is Art will provide:
