C Gallery on Broadway hosts several events in conjunction with its current exhibition, “Transcendence.” On May 2, 2019 NiCo performs at 6pm. Then on May 3, 2019 – Sarah Potenza performs at 6pm. The final event celebrates the closing reception and the 145th Kentucky Derby on May 4, 2019, from 1-5pm.

“Transcendence” opened in April and features the art of Dawn Davis, an award winning watercolor artist. Her inspiration comes from the natural beauty of the light and landscape of Santa Fe, New Mexico where she lives.  She hikes and gathers leaves and photos from the mountains and sky to use as tools for her joyful creations. She travels to the coast for tropical inspiration from the flowers and ferns that she loves to paint. Dawn just finished a collaborative effort with Bealls, who designed her watercolor paintings into women’s clothing. Her paintings have received many awards and she is a signature member of the New Mexico and Kansas Watercolor Societies and was recently juried into the National Watercolor Society exhibit in Los Angeles.

A parking lot is located behind and just to the northwest of the gallery. It can be accessed via an alleyway, turn left just before Hotel Royal (the hotel is at 431 E Broadway).
