ICA LA hosts an open house to kick off its summer season of exhibitions on Sunday, June 20 between 12pm-5pm. Reservations are required and space is limited, see below for RSVP info.

The Season includes: “Queer Communion: Ron Athey” —the first major U.S. solo museum presentation of the incomparable Los Angeles-based performance artist Ron Athey, organized by noted art historian Amelia Jones—and “Kenneth Tam: Silent Spikes” in the Project Room. In the Annex, ICA LA is collaborating with the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA on a special presentation related to Robin Frohardt’s The Plastic Bag Store.

Additional workshops, and events take place throughout the summer….be sure to check the calendar. Summer hours have been extended and will remain open until 7pm on Thursdays starting on June 24. So, plan on starting a Thursday evening out this summer with a visit to ICA LA!
