Thursday, Friday, July 30-31, 2o26 Art Parties and Events kick off another exciting weekend in LA. There is always something to do in LA LA Land, and we have put together a good selection of art, theatre, comedy, wine, live music and fireworks.

Skirball Cultural Center has some incredible shows as part of their Sunset Concert. I attended last week’s and posted on @LAArtParty as well as several videos on @EatTravelGo.
Attendees will begin the night with DJ set by Dave Orlando aka Boss Harmz. Next producer and drummer extraordinaire Kassa Overall performs with his band. Then, the headline Tortoise with their“post-rock” sound will astonish you. In addition stop into some of the extraordinary exhibitions currently on view. The Pasadena Bead & Design Show is back at the Pasadena Convention Center from July 31 – Aug 2, 2026. In addition to beads, the biannual event features gemstones, artisan jewelry, textiles, artwear, findings, handcrafted works, and creative materials. Over 300 exhibitors as well as artists, tradespeople, and qlwo creative suppliers will be showing their wares. Silver Lake
Barnsdall Fridays Wine Tasting event continues. The fundraiser event benefits Barnsdall Art Park Foundation. Wines are curated by Silverlake Wine. Moreover, attendees can enjoy cuisine from rotating food trucks at these Friday night happenings which run from September 26, 2025.

Hollywood
The Hollywood Bowl presents Tchaikovsky Spectacular with Fireworks for two nights. I love this event and have attended see my Tchaikovsky Spectacular with Fireworks Review from a previous year. This year, Chloé Dufresne will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic; Also on the bill is Troupe Vertigo (a theatrical circus), as well as USC Trojan Marching Band, a constant at this annual performance.

Santa Monica
This is the final weekend for Grangeville at the Ruskin Group Theatre. Written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by John Perrin Flynn, Tim Cummings and Jeff LeBeau step into the lead characters in Grangeville. They play estranged half-brothers who are forced to reconnect due to their aging mother. While one lives in Grangeville, the other lives in Amsterdam. Grangeville deals with love, suffering, and the not so easy road to forgiveness.
