Alec Egan completed his MFA at Otis College of Art and Design in 2013, and received a BFA in creative writing and poetry from Kenyon College. Recent solo exhibitions include Pets at Charles Moffett Gallery, New York (2019); Alec Egan: The Living Room at Dubuque Museum of Art, Iowa (2019); and Viewing Room at Anat Ebgi Gallery in Los Angeles (2018). His work has also been exhibited at the California Heritage Museum (2017) and the Torrance Art Museum (2015), among others. His current solo exhibition August is on view at Anat Ebgi through September 5. Egan lives and works in Venice, CA.

Matthew Israel is a curator, writer, and art historian based in New York. He is Chief Curator at Artful and author of Kill for Peace: American Artists Against the Vietnam War, The Big Picture: Contemporary Art in 10 Works by 10 Artists and the forthcoming A Year in the Art World. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in art history and archaeology from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. He was the founding Director of The Art Genome Project at Artsy, where he worked for almost nine years, eventually becoming its Head Curator. He has also worked in major galleries (Matthew Marks and Gagosian), managed artist estates and foundations (Felix Gonzales-Torres and Peter Hujar), and written for various art magazines and museum publications. http://www.matthewisrael.com
