On Saturday, January 28, 2022, head to Chinatown for the 124th Golden Dragon Lunar New Year Parade from 1pm – 4pm. The 2023 Chinese New Year kicked off on January 22, 2023.

Each year, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles hosts the Annual Golden Dragon Parade. With over a hundred thousand spectators and thousands more viewing the telecast on KNBC, KCAL, KTLA, this colorful celebration along North Broadway in Chinatown has become the premiere cultural event in the Southern California Asian-American Community.

Parade route: Hill Street at Temple toward Bernard. Right on Bernard, right on Broadway back to Broadway & Temple. Runs from 1-4pm

The event is FREE to the public to attend, but limited Grandstand VIP seating can be purchased online for $40/ticket for adults. See website below for info. Children under 3 accompanied by a paying adult are Free. Bring your mobile voucher to obtain entry at the Grandstand at Hill and Ord St.

Check in time for seating is first come, first serve and begins at 11:45AM. Chinatown street closures starts at 10 AM . We advise everybody to take public transportation (LA Metro Gold Line) or use ride share transportation, such as Uber and Lyft, to Chinatown.
