Tonight is a busy art party hop…looks like the galleries dedide to split up the openings between tonight and tomorrow for the new season.

In Culver City…

Samuel Freeman features a gFri-Sept11-SamuelFreemanroundbreaking exhibition of work by Kristian Burford.

Burford presents for the first time three discrete scenes staged concurrently in one venue. They are accompanied by a suite of small bronzes which serve as precursors to the larger works. Each resulting scene is a single self-contained sculpture, exhibited together to create an immersive and deeply affecting psychological environment for the viewer.

Tifri-Sept11-MorethanaCone-logome to support our animals…

We all know the “cone of shame” jokes. But More Than A Cone, a nonprofit raising funds for and awareness about animal adoption, wellness and recovery, aims to shine a more flattering light on this “medical lampshade” — and benefit the animals at Best Friends and other animal welfare organizations in the process!

If you would like to read more about this event, visit our Upcoming Events Page for more info.

The group enlisted leading artists to transform e-collars into works of art for auction during its 2015 art festival. The second annual event will be a fun-filled, fundraising night featuring live music and entertainment, a cone-art exhibition, a cone-fashion runway show, carnival games and more.

Best Friends members can use code BESTFRIENDS and buy discount tickets here.
