On Friday, November 21st, Angelenos will experience the French ‘Art de Vivre’ at “Flavors of France, Beaujolais Passions and Beyond!” Throughout the night, they will toast the 2014 Beaujolais Nouveau vintage, sample delicious French products and fine cuisine, and enjoy a medley of live performers who will take them on a journey to the country of world elegance, glamor, and refinement.

ProducedSat-Nov21-BeaujoPostcard-2014 by Passions Productions, this event is an offspring of the traditional Beaujolais Passions event with a wider approach. It is a unique and enjoyable way for Francophone and Francophile attendees to network with influencing decision-makers while wandering through a ‘Market Place’ featuring tastings of French culinary delicacies, exhibitors, a great DJ, and a host of surprises. Patrons come to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of France right in their own backyard. They thrive on French ‘joie de vivre,’ enjoy live entertainment “à la mode de Paris”, dance, or just sit back and relax while sipping an ‘apéritif à la Française’ provided by Lillet – a house that dates back to 1872 — a French Kronenbourg 1664 beer, or a glass of ‘just landed’ Beaujolais Nouveau.

As part of the national Beaujolais Nouveau celebration, Georges Duboeuf will unveil a new interpretation of his highly anticipated 2014 Beaujolais Nouveau. The French Beaujolais winemaker is known for saying that a vintage is a reflection of its weather. If we look at the exceptional weather in the Beaujolais region these last months, all the conditions needed for a wonderful and delicious 2014 are in place.

This year’s ‘Nouveau,’ should scintillate the connoisseurs’ palate with the pleasure of an excellent “primeur.” As the weather is so gorgeous, we may see the work of nature uplifted and improved as the days go by. Harvesting may already be well underway in Beaujolais Villages and certain Crus, but in the beautiful region of the Pierres Dorées where Beaujolais appellation is found, the harvest has only just begun.

With a harvest looking fruitful in terms of volume and superb in terms of quality, the November 21st event promises to be more enchanting than ever and captivate consumers with French Magic!

The Castaway Restaurant, appropriately nicknamed “The Jewel on the Hill,” is located in the Burbank hills overlooking the De Bell Golf Course. It offers one of the more breathtaking views of the city, and an award-winning menu.
