In Santa Monica…

haleARTS S P A C E offers an opening receptiFri-Aug8-haleARTS-LKosoffon for a group show featuring Linda Kosoff, Bruce Taylor, and Timothy Kitz.

Linda Kosoff often paints several canvases depicting one scene. Hanging corresponding canvases next to each other but with a gap in between, adds a literal separation to the work and underscores the sense of isolation expressed in the painting itself.

Bruce Taylor, is native southern California artist whose style is considered “graphic realism”. Working with acrylic, Bruce’s canvases reveal seascapes that are at once a familiar and haunting.

A long time Santa Monica resident, Timothy Kitz is an accomplished watercolorist whose plein air and studio works reflect an ongoing journey with the watercolor medium that produces paintings of a distinctive style, freshness and fluidity.

Italian Tramer is a new project conceived by the young Italian photographer Maddalena Patrese. Patrese aims to portray and trace the artistic expression of traveling and dreaming, hence the word “Tramer.”

SeFri-Aug8-AndreaMarinoe image: by Andrea Marino

Maddalena shares her roots, memories, and stories with her audience. By looking at her powerful shots, one may enter her mind, and therefore her visions. Italian Tramer will host a comprehensive array of Italian contemporary artists, who are also deeply tied to the concept of dreaming and traveling. ‘Italian’ is the key word for this project. We represent Italian excellence, and the ability Italians have to evoke passion through the quality of their work. This new concept aims to promote and celebrate Italian Photography, Art, and Design.
