Be one of the first to welcome the American premiere of Elephant Parade tonight at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point.

Prlowres Elephant w SonaMIrzaeiesented by The Resorts of Dana Point, “Elephant Parade: Welcome to America” will be on display in Dana Point, CA from August 22nd through November 2013. The elephant statues will be auctioned by Sotheby’s to benefit this amazing cause of saving endangered Asian elephants.

Artist Sona Mirzaei has been working on not just one, but two elephants for the upcoming “Elephant Parade.” In addition to her solo elephant, ‘Triumph of Liberty,’ she has helped create another one (‘Rothkofant’) with actor Daniel Benzali.

At 7:30, watch a movie under the stars. A powerful documentary, “How I Became an Elephant” tackles the epic problems facing elephants today. Don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs or even pack a picnic!

DTLA Artist’s Farmers Market is back this weekend. Located at the Newly renovated 3,000 square ft historical fabric warehouse/loft, the event will feature music, art and more. The 3 nights will be filled with a collection of artists from all over L.A sharing and selling their original art pieces, with a variety of creative vendors, some mouth watering Tacos from GoodFellas TacoMan and organic, fresh dishes from special guest Chefs.
