“Memories on Location” opens at Keystone Art Space. The group exhibition is curated by Christine Rasmussen and will feature works by artists include: Ching Ching Cheng, Shelley Heffler, Kim Marra, Hung Viet Nguyen, and Christine Rasmussen.
Memory is a multi-faceted exploration that engages our minds and senses often in unexpected ways. A few bars of melody or a fragment of words spoken can conjure up times and places from long ago.The slightest breath of fragrance might bring back an emotion or the memory of a person long forgotten. In this show the artists explore places and objects, real and imagined, that provide visual cues to connect one with the past. Color and texture are layered and mixed in a variety of ways to convey emotions and suggest locations. The viewer is invited to explore her or his own imagination and interpretation to unlock places, times and feelings from their own memory.
