Beverly Hills
It’s the final performance of An Inspector Calls, written by J.B. Priestley at Theatre 40. The classic mystery directed by Cate Caplin is produced for Theatre 40 by David Hunt Stafford. A young woman meets with an untimely demise and a respectable family is subject to a routine inquiry in connection with the death. The theatre is located on the campus of Beverly Hills High School. There is also ample free underground parking is available via a driveway at the intersection of Durant and Moreno Drives. The Venice Canals Holiday Boat Parade takes place today. This is a fun event – all the residents enter the boat contest. There are also awards given out for bridges and houses. I went all the time, when I lived in the Canals. It’s been going on for over 4 decades. Be aware, they don’t always promote it, as it gets quite crowded so bring your holiday spirit, and . LA Opera’s 40th Anniversary Season continues with a revival of its beloved Herbert Ross production of La Bohème. In fact, Resident Conductor Lina González-Granados conducts the first revival in nearly a decade. The LA Opera will present just six performances of Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece. The Rachel Rosenthal Company celebrates the interdisciplinary artist with A Rachel Rosenthal Art Sale and Farewell to Espace DbD event. The exhibition spotlights the loss the artist has endured since escaping her Altadena home during the January 2025 fire. Thankfully she, her husband and her cats are all safe, but so much of her art was lost.
