Mim Gallery hosts a group photography exhibition curated by artist Labkhand Olfatmanesh. Artists include: Alex Turner, Aline Smithson, Jonas Yip, Odette England, Rafael Soldi, Tarrah Krajnak, Tomiko Jones, and Tooraj Khamenehzadeh.
The exhibition highlights a range of works which draw inspiration from the physical craft of processing photographs, the embodied practice of developing and protecting an archive. A palpable absence, a missing link, a fragment of a landscape – mysterious dimensions emerge from exploring the dimensions and interpretations of a negative. What may be originally considered a negative, a trauma or a grave burden, becomes a site for transformation.
