Downtown...Hospital of Emotions recently opened inside a former wing of St. Vincent Medical Center. Presented by House of Art and Dreams, ROYVA Group, and also St. Vincent Behavioral Health Campus, it transformed one of Los Angeles’ most historic hospital sites into a fully immersive, large-scale art experience.

Leimert Park
LA Commons invites the LA community to attend its annual event Day of the Ancestors: Festival of Masks. Since 2010 this beloved tradition has been held during the Leimert Park Art Walk. This annual celebration pays tribute South LA ancestors, ancestral traditions and customs, African and Diaspora artistic expressions, as well as shared community memories. Founded by artists Najite Agindotan and Ben Caldwell in collaboration with LA Commons, the Festival of Masks is a multicultural, multigenerational and multimedia arts event grounded in the vast identities of Africa and the African diaspora. The 2026 honorees include: S. Pearl Sharp, Horace Tapscott, Aiysha Sinclair, Meri Ka Ra (Reverend Richard Byrd), and Kimberly Bolanile Paggett. The festival features a libation ceremony, procession and and also dance and musical performances.
