2023 4th of July Events

This year the 4th lands on a Tuesday…so a lot of people will be taking off the weekend before. That will be great for those of us staying in LA, as we’ll be dealing with less traffic – hopefully.

Exchange Club of Culver City

Enjoy the fireworks at Culver City. It’s the 53rd annual Firework Extravaganza on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. The celebration is hosted by the Exchange Club of Culver City and the event will include live music, food, as well as fireworks. West Los Angeles College will once again host the event. The gate will open at 5:00pm and the show will start at dusk. Admission is $10 per person; Children are free. For more info, visit culverexchange.org

Main Street Parade

Kicking off at 9:30am in Santa Monica, the 16th annual Parade on Main Street is a fun local parade. Just be aware, there are No fireworks here. The parade runs from 9:30am-12:00pm.

The 2023 parade returns to its classic route! The parade kicks off promptly at 9:30am at Pico and Main Street, then it will travel South on Main Street before turning right onto Marine, ending at Barnard Way. Join to watch anywhere along the Main Street route as the parade makes its way to Beach Lot 5 South. Pacific Palisades Celebration

Then at 2pm, Pacific Palisades hosts its 75th annual 4th of July Celebration. The annual Pacific Palisades Fourth of July Parade kicks off at 2pm with a flyover by a squadron of WWII fighter planes, then the parade runs through the center of town.

As of the posting (June 25, 2023), the website says check back for more details. However, fireworks usually take place at Palisades Charter High School. Doors open at 6pm, and you will need to purchase tickets; Carpool with friends as parking can be tough. Grand Park’s 2023 4th of July Celebration

Grand Park will be hosting a very different 2023 4th of July celebration as well. New this year, 500 remote-controlled drones programmed to form larger-than-life 3-D representations flying above The Music Center. CLICK HERE to find out more about it. 2023 4th of July Hollywood Bowl Fireworks Spectacular

The Hollywood Bowl also offers its Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular on July 4, 2023.  This year’s show features the Beach Boys along with special guest John Stamos, as well as LA Phil conductor Thomas Wilkins.

With dozens of their chart-toppers becoming anthems of American youth—including Surfin’ USA, I Get Around, and Fun, Fun, FunThe Beach Boys will light up the night with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and its legendary fireworks.

Marina Del Rey’s Annual Fireworks

Last but not least, Marina del Rey will be offering its annual Fireworks as well. Many people gather at Burton Chase Park (13650 Mindanao Way) or Fisherman’s Village (13755 Figi Way) where synchronized music will play with the fireworks. However,  you can also view the fireworks at the end of the Marina Peninsula, which runs parallel to the beach. Be aware, there is absolutely NO parking…you’ll see lots of people walking that way from 7-9pm. Park East on Washington super early in the day and stay late – the Marina tends to get extremely crowded. Also many restaurants will be offering outdoor dining to view the show, but you MUST have a reservation. The fireworks will begin at 9pm and run for twenty minutes.
