Xixi Edelsbrunner: PRONE is on view at the Bolsky Gallery, at Otis College of Art and Design, The exhibition runs through February 7, 2024.

Xixi Edelsbrunner at the Bolsky Gallery

Xixi Edelsbrunner’s work is, above all, about being moved by objects. Borrowing materials and aesthetics from mobility devices, institutional environments, and fragmented bodies, the exhibited things are both familiar and difficult to place. They confuse what is found and what is made as well as what is utility and what is useless. They hold as much humor and care as they do sterility and pain. This exhibition includes two explicitly interactive works. Additionally, visitors may touch any work in the exhibition.

In an effort towards access, this will be a masked and fragrance-free event. Please: Refrain as much as possible from wearing scented products, such as perfumes/colognes, essential oils, and items with the ingredients “parfum” or “fragrance.” If you would like to know more, please refer to Accessible Spaces: A Fragrance-Free Toolkit Mask in the gallery if you are able to. Masks will be provided.
