Hauser & Wirth DTLA presents two exhibition. Winfred Rembert: Hard Times opens in the main gallery. This is the first–ever Los Angeles exhibition devoted to Winfred Rembert (1945 – 2021) The late American artist dedicated the last thirty years of his life to creating a striking visual memoir. The consistently powerful and original oeuvre he left behind is a testament to the improvisational skill, determination and resilience required of a visionary shaped by a lifetime of extreme adversity.

You will find the art of Daniel Turner in the South Gallery. This is artist’s debut exhibition with Hauser & Wirth. His present works are created from salvaged and recontextualized materials extracted from the Oxnard Generating Station, a decommissioned power plant in Oxnard, California. In Silver Lake…Barnsdall Fridays Wine Tasting kicks off tonight. The fundraiser event benefits Barnsdall Art Park Foundation. Wines are curated by Silverlake Wine. Plus attendees can enjoy cuisine from rotating food trucks at these Friday night happenings which run from May 31 – through August 30, 2024.

WeHo Pride Weekend (May 31 to June 2) begins tonight. It will include a free WeHo Pride Street Fair representing a diverse array of LGBTQ community groups as part of visibility, expression, and celebration.
