David Kordansky Gallery brings us new exhibitions. Hopes and Fears, a solo exhibition by Tristan Unrau, features new paintings that ask and answer many questions. The title Hopes and Fears refers to both faith and doubt that this generation is currently dealing with such as AI.

Also being celebrated tonight is a two person show by Elizabeth Murray and Betty Woodman. The exhibition will include both Woodman’s ceramics, as well as Murray’s painting, and it is also accompanied by a commissioned text written by Steve Locke. Mid Wilshire area
The Ebell of Los Angeles debuts A Woman’s Place: Framing the Future. Known for supporting women, the nonprofit organization is hosting a month-long celebration of National Women’s History Month. In addition to this exhibition, the Ebell of Los Angeles will feature various programs and events honoring the accomplishments and contributions of women throughout history. Brand Library & Art Center brings us Art Talks at Brand, a new series spotlighting artists. Tonight the Art Center hosts a conversation with Chanel Von Habsburg-Lothringen. After the artist talks about the work, Brand staff member, artist, and writer Jennifer Remenchik moderated Q&A.

Downtown
LA Opera hosts its second performance of Akhnaten by Philip Glass. This revival is the 40th Anniversary Season. Director Phelim McDermott returns and Dalia Stasevska will conduct. East Hollywood…Track 16 brings us a new exhibition titled Lost in Space by Alicia Piller. Los Angeles–based artist asks the question what it means to be “lost.” Moreover, she is not only referring to the infinite expanse of space. Furthermore Piller points to fractured landscapes of American memory, cultural visibility, as well as historical accountability.

Brassroots District celebrates its self titled album with Brassroots District: LA ’74. The immersive theater-concert takes place at Jewel’s Catch One and brings audiences back to the year 1974. Meanwhile, the band released a new single, “Takin’ Back Day Dreamin’,” featuring Robert Randolph. The New Ruskin Group Theatre Arts Center opens its inaugural production titled Honour. Written by Joanna Murray-Smith & directed by Max Mayer, it features Marcia Cross and Matthew Letscher. Synopsis: A sharp and authentic examination of love, betrayal, and the fragile agreements that hold marriages together. When a celebrated writer can’t seem to “do the right thing,” decades of loyalty, intimacy, and compromise unravel in a single evening. With wit and emotional precision, the play explores the personal cost of truth and the reverberations of a single, life-altering choice – asking whether honesty is always an act of courage, or sometimes one of cruelty.
