On January 6, 2024, the Hole LA held an opening art party for Autobahn by Thomas Trum. Not to worry, if you missed the opening, the exhibition runs through February 17, 2024.

The Hole Thomas Trum

This is the artist’s first Los Angeles solo exhibition. He recently debuted his mesmerizing mechanized paintings in his 2022 New York Solo Loops.

Thomas Trum (b. 1989, NL) lives and works in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. He studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. His work is represented in public as well as private collections including the Het Noordbrabants Museum, AkzoNobel Art Foundation and also Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.

Using the studio as a place for experiment, he looks into unconventional ways to paint on paper, as well as canvas or walls. Paint is his muse, whether it is in small-scale research or expanding public spaces with his colorful large-scale work.
