Prysm Planet, an art collective headed by LA artist and curator, Amy Smith, presents PAY UP! The art exhibition takes place in solidarity the current Hollywood union walk ouot to show support for WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike. PAY UP! will showcase thought-provoking artwork from over 15 LA artists. The opening art party took place on August 3, 2023 at the DTLA Immersive Art Gallery (see address below). Not to worry if you missed it, there is still time to support the cause, as the exhibition runs through September 30, 2023.
Support WGA, SAG-AFTRA Strike
The event will feature artwork that champions the cause of the strike, explores themes surrounding corporate greed, and seeks to inspire positive societal change. Enjoy artworks by WrdSmth, Corrie Mattie, Dave Navarro, Mary Lai, and many more.
Additionally, Smith and her team have also partnered with the Entertainment Community Fund, a nonprofit that provides support to those affected by work stoppages or other pauses in industry work. Therefore 15% of all art sale proceeds will be donated to the Entertainment Community Fund. Come celebrate the power of art to affect positive change and support those at the heart of the entertainment industry.
This exhibition takes place in conjunction with DTLA Art Night, the self-guided art experience of local galleries, artist studios, and cultural events along the Historic Core Neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles.

Prysm Planet is an art collective that crafts immersive experiences by weaving elements of street art as well as technology. Its aim is to create a multi-sensory environment that transports individuals into a realm of profound introspection and interconnectedness. It is currently occupying a 3,200 square foot studio in Downtown Los Angeles, and features monthly events. Also a partnership with the City of Los Angeles allows for additional curated activities with featured artists.
