Tim Rudnick runs the museum-without-walls called the Venice Oceanarium and will be hosting the event.

The Moby Dick reading will be held at the rocky beach near the end of Windward Avenue in Venice.

Featuring a diverse range of fine art and craft by both emerging and established artists, the Arroyo Arts Collective Discovery Tour is one of the oldest art tours in Los Angeles.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discover, appreciate, and purchase amazing art, while touring an eclectic mix of studios, homes and historic buildings.  Offerings include remarkable paintings in every genre, ceramics,  wearable art, intricate metal works, hand-hewn musical instruments, finely crafted drawings and prints, tapestries, and one-of-a-kind jewelry.

This self-guided auto tour focuses on Highland Park, Mount Washington, Eagle Rock, Montecito Heights, and Glassell Park.  Shuttle buses will also be available with stops at select locations.

Admission” $10 in advance, or $15 on the day of the tour.

Parson’s Nose Theater (PNT), the acclaimed classical comedic theater company led by Artistic Director, Lance Davis, presents their first full production of the 2013-14 Season, Molière’s The Middle Class Nobleman.

Putting lipstick on a pig, the French master Molière gives us the narcissistic bourgeois, Monsieur Jourdain, who can buy all of the lessons but none of the talent. His ignorance is far from bliss for his wife and family. The Middle Class Nobleman will be performed in an original translation and adaptation by Parson’s Nose Artistic Director, Lance Davis. The Parson’s Nose Company will include Lance Davis, Mary Chalon, Marisa Chandler, Jill Rogosheske, Paul Perri, Barry Gordon, Gary Lamb, Mark McCracken, Tom Ashworth, James Calvert, and Nora Frankovich.

Parson’s Nose Theater performs at Lineage Performing Arts Center located at 89 South Fair Oaks, Pasadena, CA 91105. The show runs through November 24th.
