Celebrate Kodomo-no-hi with artwork by Wakana Irie, Japanese-born, LA-based painter and illustrator. Koinobori (鯉のぼり), ‘carp streamer’ in Japanese, are carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no sekku (端午の節句), a traditional event which is now also designated as national Children’s Day (子供の日, Kodomo no hi) in Japan.
