Also in Santa Monica…
Upper West, a strong supporter of the arts hosts an opening reception for artist Alicia Savio. Her new show “Urban Dreams” focuses on urban dwellings and will be on view for the next few months.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, she moved to Los Angeles in the eighties.
Savio’s work features acrylics and oils on canvas.
The topic of her exhibition may hold a serious tone, but her choice of colors such as yellow ochre, tropical orange, amazonian green and petroleum blues bring out the beauty in these surrealistic paintings
Alicia has an extensive background in dance, touring as tango dancer. The artist will be in attendance, so come meet Alicia and enjoy her new paintings.
