Santa Monica Rep brings their popular reading series to The Edye, exploring themes and questions relevant to our current national conversation. This series of Pulitzer Prize-winning and nominated American plays will enlighten and delight, challenge and confound, with post-show discussions that ask the big questions.
Today’s play, The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder, an absurd comedy about a family surviving through eternal time, explores the near constant catastrophes that human civilization just barely gets through (by the skin of our teeth!).

Roshi Rahnama founder of Advocartsy, along with Dr. Talinn Grigor, professors of contemporary art in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of California, Davis, have curated a new installation of 14 amazing artists whose work will be installed at Arena 1 Gallery in Santa Monica.
The Art Talk aims to open a public platform for engaging the concerns addressed by the artists in the exhibition. The distinguished panel will discuss the diasporic longing for home, identity formation, and the fragmentation of the self from the practices of collecting and community, the market and the museum, and identity theory and art history.
