Come celebrate the Grand Opening of The 9 Dudley project (which took over the longtime space held by “Henry’s Market”).
Thank goodness it’s an art gallery….yippee! The inaugural exhibition takes place on “Bastille Day.” Enjoy French Wine and American Artists.
The 9 Dudley project is a collaborative effort between the Ross Akard Gallery and the Cadillac Hotel. The idea is to embrace the history of art and culture in Venice and build on that tradition both in content and production, through high quality exhibitions.

Another GREAT art party in SM (You don’t want to miss this one)…Santa Monica restaurant, Upper West holds an opening reception for artist Imelda Healy.
Upper West has been supporting local artists since it’s inception in 2010. Every two to three months an artist reception is held and a new artist in introduced to the local community.
Healy moved to Santa Monica just about four years ago. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, the artist was drawn to the coast and the relaxed beach community. She was initially brought in and introduced to the restaurant by curator Gino Paino.
She talks about her upcoming exhibition at Upper West. “My aim is to celebrate humanity at ease in the gardens of our world-painting the great social mix of strollers and bathers on this beautiful bay; day trippers escaping the heat of the desert valleys, solitary homeless figures gazing at the ocean, privileged visitors and ordinary families from the community-children running toward dancing waves, in the distance beyond the Palisades Park.”
