Curated by Emily Bills, Don Choi, Catherine Cody, Jo Lauria, the exhibition, marks the architect’s 100th birthday and celebrates his seminal contribution to modern architecture. Before graduating from USC in 1942, Cody had already distinguished himself as an expert draftsman and designer while working for Cliff May on housing developments in Los Angeles. An invitation to design a hotel in Palm Springs brought Cody to the desert in 1946 where he remained active until his death in 1978.

Take a tour…

TSat-July9-2016-G2Gallery-Grammia-virgo WMo celebrate the opening of our newest exhibit, “Moths at LArge” and in preparation for National Moth Week, G2 will host a private, guided moth tour of the San Gabriel Mountains led by visiting moth photographer Jim des Rivières and naturalist Scott Logan from Wild Wings Backyard Nature.

We will meet in La Cañada at 7 p.m. to caravan up the mountain. From there Scott will lead the group to a prime viewing spot where he and Jim will set up equipment to collect moths to photograph. The group will head back down the mountain around midnight.

Participants should bring a camera, flashlight/headlamp, sturdy shoes, jacket and water.
