This is the second large-scale concert as Orchestra in Residence, featuring a Brandenburg Cycle showcasing the imaginations of wild Up composers

 There will be virtuosic strings and screaming piccolo trumpets, baritone saxophones and an electric bassoon.

It’s the end of summer concert in the courtyard of the Hammer. Bring your own blanket and picnic and sit back and enjoy.

An all weekend Food happening takes place in LA ..

Los Angeles Times presents THE TASTE 2012, an annual three-day food festival that takes place over Labor Day weekend at Paramount Studios.

The five events highlight Southern California’s culinary scene, each featuring unlimited food and drink tastings from standout local restaurants and chefs, along with cooking and mixology demonstrations, wine seminars and panel discussions. 

Aportion of the ticket sales will benefit Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona and the Los Angeles Times Family Fund’s Summer Camp Campaign.

Todays events are: FIELD TO FORK which runs from 11:00am – 3:00pm
Hosts: Times Food Editor Russ Parsons & Chef Ray Garcia (FIG).Cooking demos, Panels & seminars etc.

As well as COCKTAIL CONFIDENTIAL which runs from 8:00pm – 11:00pm
Hosts: Times Food & Night Life Writer Jessica Gelt & mixologist Julian Cox and more.

One of music’s most legendary singer-songwriters and vocal harmonists, Nash has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice—withThe Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash—and is in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

He is also an internationally renowned photographer and digital imaging pioneer. In 1990, his passion for photography led him to establish Nash Editions, recognized by the Smithsonian for its role in the invention of digital fine art printing.
