TAG Gallery presents a new exhibition featuring Artists: Linda Sue Price, Joan Ransohoff, Joan Vaupen.

Garden of Virtue: Linda Sue Price offers Neon mixed media artist Linda Sue Price’s current exhibition experiments with cast neon light and textures while exploring themes of virtue, mentorship, and the nurturing qualities of gardens. Working with washers, acrylic spheres, rods, and paint, Price manipulates different textures in contrast to the light medium. Using flower boxes as a structural base, Price strives to make her neon works more accessible to viewers.

From the Garden, Joan Ransohoff
In Joan Ransohoff’s latest exhibition she transitions from plein air landscapes to reflect upon her artistic roots – natural studies. Beginning often from her own garden, Ransohoff’s oil on canvas paintings portray a spectrum of colors and textures.

The Frank Lloyd Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of a group show of three ceramic artists – Gustavo Pérez, Cheryl Ann Thomas and Beatrice Wood. Pushing the boundaries of clay’s expressive potential, these artists have created distinctly beautiful bodies of work. Gustavo Pérez is represented by works that demonstrate his use of an incised line. Simple, smooth, and symmetrical, his vessels are animated by elegantly geometric cuts into their surfaces. Cheryl Ann Thomas presents a recent series of Vessels, formed through the laborious coil and pinch method, and allowed to collapse in the kiln. The show also includes a selection of classic Beatrice Wood artworks, characterized by their simple forms and dazzling luster glazes.

On view: May 24th – June 28th

Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects hosts a closing reception for “Don’t Go Back to Sleep” featuring Stanya Kahn. There will be a film screening at 5:30pm.

This exhibition fills three gallery spaces and reflects an expansion of Kahn’s practice with the premiere of the artist’s feature-length video, “Don’t Go Back to Sleep,” and two rooms of large and small drawings on canvas and paper. This new body of work raises Kahn’s incisive wit to new levels of sensitivity and offers idiosyncratic insights into affect and communication in contemporary culture.
