Breckwedel explains, “We took our passion for local artists and international up and coming artists to create “Art Vault.” Our first small gallery/office is located in the brand new Shore Hotel in Santa Monica. Our first local artist Kymm Swank was just featured in the “Mad Men” cable series. We look forward to being part of all the exciting art that is happening in Los Angeles.”
Their newest exhbition features French painter, Humbert Curcuru, who studied drawing at Altelier Met de Penninghem and Academie Julian in Paris. He was admitted to ENSAD Paris, traveled to United States where he studied at Otis Parsons Los Angeles 1981.Humbert also studied in Paris, Parsons New School of Design 1983.
He began showing his work as a “plein air” painter. Humbert is drawn to painting landscapes. He is inspired by the location and natural light, never choosing to paint from a photograph.
Painting is the journal of his life, a projection of himself. It is necessary, it gives a sense to the life of the artist who creates it.
