The Miracle Mile Art Walk is a day-long Art Walk happening in the Miracle Mile district, a historical area in Los Angeles where one of the leading art institutions of the world is located LACMA.

Over fifty galleries, studios, museums and public art installations are participating in this FREE, self-guided tour. Master Muralist Kent Twitchell, will be returning to paint on the Berlin Wall Monument at 5900 Wilshire Blvd.

Area Museums and community partners, LACMA and CAFAM are offering free admission 2pm until one hour before closing to select exhibitions to those who mention Miracle Mile Art Walk at the ticket desks. 

The event will feature pre-scheduled artist conversations and gallerist lead tours and talks, opening/closing receptions, book signings, and live painting exhibitions are planned in advance in conjunction with the art walk, followed by an after party hosted by one of the Miracle Mile Art Walk sponsors.

Couturier Gallery, located at 166 N. La Brea Ave., “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” a show of new works on paper inspired by the purity of imagination and jubilation found in music.

Painter, poet and illustrator DeLoss McGraw (b. 1945) is a pioneer of the art and poetry movement, McGraw finds inspiration for this series of gouache paintings from children’s verses coupled with traditional, classical and jazz references. Also on display is the collection of one- of-a-kind ‘painted books’ that the artist has been working on for over three years.

lowres SonaMirzaei paintsYou won’t want to miss the opening recption at Wallspace which also celebrates its grand opening. Contemporary artist Sona Mirzaei will participate in this group show at Wallspace.

The opening will be a salon style exhibition featuring over 300 pieces by 50 artists and photographers, both emerging and established Los Angeles-based artists. Contemporary artist, Sona Mirzaei is excited to be part of this grand opening exhibition. Sona is also gearing up for her solo show this April at Seyhoun Gallery in West Hollywood.

As part of this exhibition, Sona will include two selections from her well received Tales of Copenhagen series. Wallspace showcases the work of a talented and growing stable of Los Angeles- based artists in various mediums; they will continue to exhibit her work on an ongoing basis as they are official representatives of Sona’s enchanting creations.

Sona Mirzaei is a prolific artist who paints with a whimsical sense of innocence staying true to her free-spirited nature. Her technique of layering oils, acrylics, and mixed media forms, create dimensions that enhance and draw out the emotional content that Sona manifests on her canvases in ways that are both pleasing to the eye and internally striking.

Sona has been creating art since she was five years old. A dedicated artist and visionary, her passion for art transcends the competitive nature of the International art scene. Sona’s goal is to share her artistic vision with the world in addition to helping others appreciate the beauty and potential of any given space. Her work is timeless and reflects a hybrid of depth, emotion, and aesthetic appeal that always leaves one wanting to see more of what Sona has to offer.
