“PORTALS OF EMOTION,” featuring the photography of Laura Schumpert and the paintings of Wilson Schlamme continues at huZ galleries for the rest of the month with a second artists’ reception taking place this Thursday February 4. The artists express their psyches’ rawness through the mediums of photography and acrylic paint.

Laura Schumpert’s collection is called GRIEF – a tribute to her late husband and child. Her photographic style is surrealism.  She creates images from her own emotions and experiences and infuses them with painterly techniques and elements to remove you from reality.  Laura’s imagery has placed her innermost thoughts into a physical medium to live and be heard.

Wilson Schlamme Wilson’s work DISPLACED SYNTAX is the product of the overpowering energy of his search for Self. He creates large scale abstract works, continuing the tradition of action painting and is further progressing in his organic and overwhelming fluid-like style. He has spent several years developing a technique largely derived from fluid based paint and self-crafted tools.
