Marciano Art Foundation presents John Giorno: No Nostalgia. The all day opening is the start of a long run through April 25, 2026. Visit the website for hours, and additional info. A fixture in the New York art scene since the 1960s, Giorno (1936-2019) became most known for taking poetry beyond the page and thus becoming performance art. This included sound installation as well as painting.

Moreover the solo features a select group of the artist’s work ranging from early prints to his black-and-white text and rainbow paintings. In addition, a selection of materials from Giorno’s archive showing how he pieced together his poems, while demonstrating the public and private friendships. The 2025 Fall Brewery Artwalk & Open Studios kicks off today, and continues tomorrow. Meet working artists and take a peek inside their studios at this FREE event. The venue is also super cool, since it was a former Brewery. Therefore each studio is unique.
