November Events at Word is Art Gallery in Culver City!

Lots of fun event taking place in November 2013 at The Word is ART Gallery located at 9349 Venice Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232 in Downtown Culver City at the corner of Bagley and Venice

The Word is ART is a unique cooperative artisan gallery that allows each artist to have an “art home” to allow people to see and purchase their art, thereby allowing them to create exceptional work. All of the artists are active in sharing ideas to further enhance the gallery vision, while building their careers as professional artists.

The Word is Art Gallery is planning an exciting series of workshops and events for the month of November 2013 that will showcase the diverse group of artists who together make up The Word is ART.  

The Word is ART will be celebrating its first anniversary in December 2013.

Saturday, November 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm- Artist Event

Artist Wendy Whittemore will be featuring and showcasing her paintings, handmade soft sculpture dolls, and jewelry. Please join us on Saturday, November 2, from 5-8pm at The Word is ART Gallery with musical karaoke, led by Ezra Weisbuch, and a delicious supper. More information:

Artist Marla Murphy is showing her new work at The Word is ART Gallery on Saturday Nov 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

Party with the artist, enjoy food, drink and musical revelry featuring Doyle McKinney on steel drum.

Sunday, November 17 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Workshop

“A Trace of Me: The Journey Starts Here” Workshop with Kelly Kilmer

You will create a landscape format journal constructed of different sized papers. We’re going to be pushing deep with new techniques and exercises in this class going beyond the traditional, “Today I did this…”

Create a rich journal made by your own hands using your favorite materials to document your journey. We’ll be focusing on new collage, journal and writing techniques in this class. Class cost: $75.
