Celebrate Corita Day at The Marciano Art Foundation (MAF). The afternoon will feature art activities for all ages, live screen printing by Self Help Graphics, holiday shopping by Corita Art Center and Lenita by Grita. Furthermore, enjoy food by Triple Beam Pizza and Bernie’s, music by KCRW, and also a performance by Bob Baker Marionette Theater at 2pm.

The Los Angeles Center of Photography’s (LACP) 10th Annual Awards Ceremony and Fundraiser takes place today. However, first LACP will host a family workshop from 3-4pm. Nonaka-Hill Los Angeles presents its Fall group exhibition titled Tokonoma Workshop. This exhibition reinterprets the traditional Japanese, raised, shallow alcove space used to display art objects such as hanging scrolls (掛け軸 kakejiku), ikebana flower arrangements, incense burners, or fine art ceramics. Additionally, the exhibition aims to explore the peculiar phenomenon of this architectural trope which incorporates a seasonal curatorial practice into “good homes” as part of Japanese family life. An Inspector Calls, written by J.B. Priestley classic mystery continues its run at Theatre 40. The classic mystery directed by Cate Caplin is produced for Theatre 40 by David Hunt Stafford. A young woman meets with an untimely demise and a respectable family is subject to a routine inquiry in connection with the death.
