Mark Seliger’s indelible photography has dominated magazine covers, feature articles, and advertising campaigns for decades. With signature compositions and a storyteller’s eye for photography, Seliger has constructed a distinctive body of work, featuring unforgettable portraits of the world’s leading personalities in music, fashion, politics, business and entertainment. Notable portraits include Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, Barrack Obama, Cindy Sherman, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, The Dalai Lama and more. Mark Seliger began working for Rolling Stone in 1987 and served as chief photographer from 1992 to 2001. Since moving to Condé Nast in 2001, his work can be seen regularly in Vanity Fair, GQ, Elle, and German and Italian Vogue. He has published numerous books. His new book, Mark Seliger, Photographs (Abrams, 2018; 256 pages) containing an interview with Seliger and American film producer, writer and director Judd Apatow is available for purchase through the gallery (while supplies last) for $75.
