Films from around the world will be featured in their U.S. Premiere at this year’s FAFF, including “I, Claude Monet,” “Memories of Miss O’Keefe,” in coordination with the O’Keefe Museum. Also screening is “The Secret Life of Porligat: Salvador Dali’s House,” “Bill Viola: The Road to St. Paul’s,” along with famous and infamous art, music and performance world figures will be presented. Narrative features, along with experimental art films, VR, animations, student films, and music videos are all part of this not-to-be-missed 2 day festival.

Official Selections will be announced April 12.

The Festival is dedicated to presenting the finest new films about art in the western capital of the art world. The films — narratives, documentaries, and experimental — tell stories about how art is made, how artists survive, how dealers and collectors think, and even how an artist becomes world famous with no formal training.

”We are very proud to be screening many great and never-before-seen films, and are proud to be working with fine filmmakers from around the world. Films about art are always a labor of love.

The film and art worlds intertwine and it’s easily forgotten how much blood, sweat, and tears go into the work we do. We expect this festival will amaze audiences and draw a wide, intelligent, cutting edge, and fun crowd from both the film and art world. We have several exciting announcements planned for coming days as well!” says Juri Koll, Founder and Director of the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art (ViCA), which produces the Festival as part of it’s exhibition programs.

Sponsors past and present include Radiant Images, Angel City Brewery, Blick Artist Materials, Flake, Cerveteca, Clutch, Perfect Balance Trail Mix, Universal Art Gallery, Exhale, Ingo’s Tasty Diner, the Fresco School, and many others.
