Advocartsy hosts an artist talk and closing reception for Foroozan Shirghani: Alienation on April 29, 2023, from 2-5pm. The art talk, moderated by Fowler Museum Director of Education Amy Landau, will take place at 3:00pm, as part of the series Fowler in the City: In Conversation with Foroozan Shirghani. This program is a collaboration with Fowler Museum and will be held at ADVOCARTSY West Hollywood.

In this exhibit, Shirghani explores the themes of displacement and manipulation as part of the human condition and our social identity across cultures. After Shirghani immigrated to the United States in 2015, her work became more focused on the psychological and physical effects of a hostile environment.
