Dorothy Rice, 7811 Gallery
In West Hollywood, also called the Melrose Arts District…7811 Gallery celebrates Dorothy Rice (1924 – 2023).

The famed model was also a theater and television actor as well as a prolific painter. She produced watercolors, oil paintings and also silkscreens. The artworks illustrated her love for life, for Los Angeles and for the world. Ray Bradbury who was one of Rice’s collectors, said she is “armed with an eye for detail and a full-color brush.” Rice presents “a shared past which is still present.”

LAST Projects hosts the closing art party for its Artist Relief Fundraiser Exhibition. The group show which features over 70 artists was organized In an effort to raise funds for those who lost their homes, studios, and possessions in the recent devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The exhibition brings together many artists from disparate communities and proceeds generated from sales will be donated directly to the Flintridge Center Dena Relief fund and to artists who’ve been severely impacted by the fires.
