David Kordansky offers us an art part for two exceptional artists. Enjoy an art party for a Rust-Oleum launch, as well as Art Night Pasadena on Friday, and also a very special performance from Dan and Peggy Reeder at the Troubadour.

David Kordansky Gallery celebrates two exhibitions – SATOR ROTAS, by Maia Cruz Palileo and Amazônico by Chico da Silva. SATOR ROTAS is Maia Cruz Palileo’s first solo show with the gallery. The exhibition will occupy two spaces at the gallery’s Los Angeles location. Plus and will inclupaintings, ceramic sculptures, and works on paper, shedding light on the multi-faceted nature of the artist’s project and their poetic engagement with the Filipino diaspora.

Amazônico is the first solo exhibition of Chico da Silva  in Los Angeles. The exhibition includes paintings from the 1980s as well as works from the 1960s. Harvard Heights neighborhood near KoreatownRust-Oleum hosts a launch event and art party at the Secret Walls Headquarters. This is Rust-Oleum’s first spray paint designed by and for artists. Headlined with a classic Secret Walls battle featuring industry OG, Persue, and also rising talent, George F Baker III, the two will bring this must-try product to life, and battle it out on the canvas for a thrilling head-to-head spray paint bout. In Beverly HillsHere There Are Blueberries previews tonight at the Bram Goldsmith Theater at the Wallis. The must-see show officially opens tomorrow and runs from March 13 to 30, 2025. This new work from Tectonic Theater Project (The Laramie Project) is conceived and directed by Tony and Emmy nominee Moisés Kaufman. It is co-written by Emmy nominee Amanda Gronich. Tectonic Theater Project is producing the play in partnership with Brian and Dayna Lee and Sonia Friedman Productions.

ArtNight Pasadena takes place today. The event is present by Cultural Affairs Division in partnership with Pasadena cultural organizations. It spotlights visual arts, literary arts, dance, music, and theater. Many of the larger museums will participate, as well as smaller galleries and center across various parts of Pasadena. The Armory for the Arts will participate in ArtNight Pasadena. Enjoy a dance party with DJ Saltera. There will also be art classes available to attendees. Food Trucks will be on site as well. The Troubadour presents Dan and Peggy Reeder with special guest Whitmer Thomas. The 70-year-old artist and musician. Dan Reeder  has been creating a blend of folk, art, as well as DIY innovation for three decades.

Based out of Nuremberg, Germany, he was born in Louisiana and then raised in California. Furthermore Reeder’s work includes music, visual art, and homemade instruments—everything from steel-string guitars and banjos to PVC trombones. He performs alongside his daughter, the talented Peggy Reeder who brings compelling harmonies as well as comedic banter about family history.
