LA Wildfires Artist Help

As an art website, we wanted to list resources for the LA Fires especially for Artist help as well as others in our creative community. Our sister site EatTravelGo.com (an art inspired travel site) has posted a List of Resources for survivors of the 2025 LA Fires. This includes organizations specifically designed to help Artists, Musicians, TV and Movie workers as well as everyday people. It also includes info on World Central Kitchen as well as other important organizations in addition to animal rescue groups (plus where to pick up free pet food).

The LA Times has provided a list of restaurants offering free meals for fire fighters, and evacuees.

Artist Stories

Also you may have noticed that we have an Artist Spotlight for Eva Montealegre. If you have not seen, please click through the link. Eva and her husband David need your help….They have lost everything, as their house burned to the ground. Her dog has been lost to add to her despair. Please consider donating to Eva Montealegre’s Go Fund Me Page.

Illustrator Asher Bingham has responded with an incredible way to help fire survivors. It all started when one of her friends lost her home. The artist said she did not know what to say to a friend…she felt helpless. So she offered to draw a version of the original home from a photo. Her friend was thrilled with it. Feeling like she made a difference, she posted on instagram that anyone who lost their homes in the January 2025 LA fires could request a free drawing from her. Needless to say hundreds of requests have come in, and now she has also recruited other artists to help as the workload has become so much larger. She added that she feels like drawing all these homes allows life stories are being revealed. Kudos to you Asher Bingham, we celebrate your kindness. https://www.instagram.com/asherbingham.fineart/

We posted the January 10-13 weekend’s art parties as a distraction to anyone that needed it. However it turned out most of the galleries canceled their events. Then most galleries hosted events during the January 16-19 weekend, while just 2-3 canceled. A good rule is to always check with the gallery. As we enter the third week of these horrible fires, we are slowly getting back to a new normal. Many galleries are choosing to have events as a way to gather the LA Art community, and show support. We will continue to update this weekend’s post in real-time (on an hourly basis). So stay tuned. Stand STRONG LA.

Visit LAArtParty’s Upcoming Events Page for more info about additional art events. Stay Strong. We love you LA!!
