In addition, I wanted to remind everyone that the Great Elephant Migration, a traveling installation has arrived in LA. It is currently on display at the Beverly Hills Gardens Park and it will remain on view through August 1, 2025. If you love elephants, you will adore it. Torrance Art Museum hosts its contemporary art pop-up NOMAD IV as well as the international art fair named TRYST.

While it is the fourth year of Nomad IV, featuring all types of media by over 175 artists, it is also the third year of Tryst. The art fair run by artists spotlights the work of independent artists along with collectives and art organizations.

In the Park La Brea area…Fahey Klein Gallery hosts an exhibition walk-through for its current show. Fade to West features the photography of Paul Jasmin as well as Todd Weaver. Next, Lois Lambert Gallery (E3) will participate at the Bergamot Summer Open House offering live music by Steve Stajich at 2:00pm Music The gallery will also provide refreshments! then later at 6pm, Lois Lambert Gallery presents Veiled Terrains, an exhibition of Charlotte Schmid Maybach’s photographs, transformed from realistic landscapes to dreamy, melancholy assemblage, using unexpected materials. Schmid-Maybach investigates the landscape through a unique combination of photography, sewing, textile, and assemblage. She begins by photographing both natural and urban landscapes, most often from California and the Pacific Northwest.

Westwood

As of June 26, 2025 the world premiere of The Reservoir officially opened at the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. Written by Jake Brasch (Trip Around the Sun, How to Draw a Triangle) and directed by Shelley Butler (A Doll’s House, Part 2; The Scarlet Letter), the show runs through July 20, 2025.

DTLAICA LA screens a family-friendly film titled Follow That Bird. The film is recommended by artist Will Rawls, whose project [siccer] is currently on view. Follow That Bird is a live-action road trip from the creators of Sesame Street.
