The Debbie Allen Dance Academy celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a free community event spotlighting movement. The event is titled Dancing in the Light: Healing with the Arts. In addition to being focused on dance, it reflects both creativity and healing. This is a continued initiative launched to support families affected by last year’s Los Angeles wildfires.

The event features jazz, African dance, Afrobeats as well as an aerial dance demonstration led by academy faculty and guest instructors. The program will conclude with Conversations in Clay, a live discussion with artist Chukes. The talk features the rebuilding process of his studio after the wildfires. An Octopus Theatricals Production presents Patrick Page in a one man show. All The Devils Are Here: How Shakespeare Invented The Villain will run from January 15-25, 2026 at the main theatre at BroadStage. Tony Award® Nominee and Grammy Award® Winner Patrick Page knows how to sink his teeth into the true meaning of being a villain.
