An eight-day celebration, the Jewish Festival of Lights is also known as Hanukkah and commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in the second century B.C.E. during the Maccabean revolt against oppressive Greek rulers.

In Santa Monica…celebrate the Festival of Lights during the Hanukkah season with nightly menorah lightings on the 1400 block of Third Street Promenade (located between Santa Monica Blvd and Broadway).
