The show examines the pivotal role played by the temporary gallery held in the home of architect Thom Mayne for several weeks in 1979. Los Angeles’ first gallery exclusively dedicated to architecture, the Architecture Gallery staged ten weekly exhibitions on both young and established Los Angeles practitioners, featuring the work of Eugene Kupper, Roland Coate Jr., Frederick Fisher, Frank Dimster, Frank Gehry, Peter de Bretteville, Morphosis (Thom Mayne and Michael Rotondi), Studio Works (Craig Hodgetts and Robert Mangurian), and Eric Owen Moss.

A panel of celebrity commentator/judges sit onstage and watch. With the prompting of the M.C., they make hilarious comments, adding their recommendations and deciding the winner. The Friday, March 29th show judges include actor/musician Jim Belushi and comedians Rick Overton and Henry Phillips.

Greg Cruz is a wonderful singer in his own right and does an awesome Johnny Cash. He is also a brilliant guitar player too.

The Venice Street Legends feature Greg Cruz, on guitar and vocals, Petr Hromadko on stand up bass and Mitch Montrose on drums.
